Beach badges are required in the summer months (check calendar for exact dates). Badges can be purchased at the beach at any one of Avon’s 3 tag booths, Washington Ave., Sylvania Ave. or Norwood Ave. 732-502-4510. Tag Booth hours: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Click here for additional information.
Avon has a number of Beach Rules and Regulations, such as alcoholic beverages are prohibited, Bikes and roller blades are not permitted on the boardwalk and Smoking is only permitted on the boardwalk and designated beach smoking areas. The Avon Pavilion is only rented in April, May, September and October, not between/including Memorial Day and Labor Day and the Avon Municipal Gym is rented on a limited basis. There are no public rentals during November through March due to priority use for basketball season. Click here for additional information.
Applications for Employment with the Borough of Avon are available in the borough office, or click here to print out an application. Applications may be dropped off at the office or mailed. Applications for summer employment are accepted year round.
You will apply for a marriage license in the Borough of Avon if either the bride or groom has legal residence here. An APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED. Click here for additional Marriage License information.

The recycling center is located at Jefferson Ave and South Station Ave. The Center's hours are:
Monday through Saturday 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
Sundays and Holidays Closed

Trash is collected twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays [calendar], throughout the entire town. Garbage cans must have handles and lids and cannot be larger than 32 gallons. No single can is to weigh more than 50 lbs. (ord. # 107.7.a). Do not allow cans to fill with water. Trash mixed with recycling will not be collected. Click here for additional information.
The sweeper starts at approximately 6:30 a.m. please have your vehicle moved to the opposite side of the street on your scheduled day. The street sweeping schedule is as follows; 2nd Wednesday of the month – North and East sides of the street and on the 4th Wednesday of the month – South and West sides of the street.
