Please be advised that credit card and e-check payments can only be made online. All online tax and water/sewer (utility) payments will be charged a processing fee for each transaction.  The processing/convenience fees are retained by the service provider and are not paid to nor shared with the Borough of Avon-by-the-Sea.

Tax and Water/Sewer (Utility) account lookup is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a Municipal Tax search.  Account information is subject to updates, corrections, and reversals. The Borough of Avon-by-the-Sea is not responsible for erroneous interpretation of the records or for changes made after the lookup.

INTEREST
Payments received after the 10 day grace period will be charged interest at 8% up to $1,500, and 18% over $1,500. The interest calculated on delinquent taxes is calculated for the current day's date only.  Please contact our office to obtain interest calculations for a future date at 732-502-4510.

MUNICIPAL & THIRD PARTY TAX LIENS/BANKRUPTCY/TAX SALE
Municipal and third party tax liens as well as properties in bankruptcy or subject to tax sale cannot be paid online. All redemptions of liens must be made through the tax office with certified check, money order or cash. Redemption figures may be obtained through written request and may take two or more business days to be provided. (online tax accounts with third party tax liens may report taxes as paid. However, the taxes may have been paid by the lienholder and are still due as part of the third party lien.) 

The payer is responsible for verifying the correct property account paid.
Be sure to verify the account information prior to submitting payment.

There is a drop box for overnight payments located outside of the municipal building for your convenience.  We cannot accept cash in the drop box.
