Primary Voting will be held at Avon Borough Hall Gym
301 Main St., Tuesday, July 7th, 6 AM - 8 PM

Per Governor Murphy's Executive Orders, the July 7th Primary Election is being conducted primarily by Vote by Mail, with limited polling locations open on Election Day for voting on paper provisional ballots only, except for disabled voters.  Disabled voters are considered anyone who can not read or write to complete the paper ballot.  All other voters will be required to fill out the provisional paper ballots.

According to the Executive Orders, all active registered Republican and Democratic voters were sent mail-in ballots for voting in the election.  All registered unaffiliated and inactive Republican and Democratic voters were sent a vote by mail application so they can apply to receive a mail-in ballot to vote in the election.

Voters can return their completed Primary Election mail-in ballots via US Postal Service (USPS) mail, drop box, or in-person to the County Board of Elections.

Avon Pool Information

Pool badges will be sold at the pool Wednesday, July 1st, from 10 am to 3 pm.  Pool will be opening at 9 am on Friday July 3rd.

We are very pleased to announce that the Avon by the Sea will open for the season on Friday, July 3rd. The Governor’s Office and the NJ Department of Health have released guidelines for the operation of public pools and we have made some changes this year to adhere to these guidelines

  • Our occupancy limits are based on NJ Department of Health guidelines and refer to the maximum number of people allowed in the pool facility at any one time: 250 This number includes people in the pool and on the pool deck. 114 is the number permitted in the pool only.  If occupancy limits are reached, no additional patrons will be permitted to enter until others exit the facility.
  • We will have pool ambassadors at both pools to encourage social distancing. This is also a requirement of the guidelines. These staff members are there to remind you of the social distance requirements and to monitor the usage of the pools. Please respect their role and follow any instructions they offer.
  • For purposes of contact tracing, the guidelines require the Borough to record the name and badge number of anyone entering the pool facility. Patrons must have your badge clearly visible, must stop and provide your name and badge number to our staff member and are strongly encouraged to wear a mask during this process. Please be patient with our staff during this process.
  •  * For patrons entering and exiting the pool, the gate attendant will be monitoring access to promote staggered entry to the pool and exit out of the pool
